Industrial CNC Laser Experience

Position - Laser programmer/designer, laser trainer, -

Plan, organize and formulate programs for numerical controlled machines- 2D lasers, 3D laser, routers. Layout, align and code operations and sequences, tooling arrangements and settings.

•Work directly with machine operators to ensure fluid communication for running machines.

•Works with engineering on design and construction of 2D and 3D parts.

•Assist engineering staff to fully develop designs up to or including preparation of drawings and prototype part.

•Work with engineering to estimate run-times on lasers.

•Performs time studies and analyzes product run-time on all turret presses and lasers to ensure optimal sequencing, tooling selection and speed.

•Work with engineering/sales and operations to creatively resolve manufacturing problems involving lasers.

•Assists other engineers in large projects.

•Keeps up-to-date on the latest tooling designs, programming processes and methods to ensure continuous improvement

MAZAK Mark II with LUL (CO2 laser with CW power in TEM00 mode up to 4 kW, hybrid CNC machine with MAZAK-Fanuc control)

Trumpf 3030, 3040 ( CO2 laser with CW power in TEM00 mode up to 4 kW. Flying optics, Siemence control)

MAZAK FG-150 – 5-axis laser for 3D cut, specialized in tube cutting with diameter 150 mm.

Cincinnati CL-7 (up to 2 kW lasers with bridge scheme and Fanuc control) ,

Cincinnati CL-5, Amada 667, Laser Lab (older models of CNC lasers with power up to 1,5 kW)

Position - Laser Application Engineer -

• Supervised installation of new machines

• Working with customers, helping to use laser machinery with maximum efficiency:

• Training operators how to run machine with maximum performance ( G and M coding, safety hazards of CNC laser machine, piercing and cutting conditions etc.)

• Training programmers for 2D applications, drawing and editing, part transforming, tool applying, nesting manual and automatic

• Training programmers and operators for 3D application: stamp cutting, tube cutting, beveled cut, cut simulation, preventing head crush

• Instructing maintenance person and operator how to fulfill beam calibration and main parameters, routine maintenance for lubricating, optics, cooling system

• Troubleshooting machines and fixing minor technical problems

• Collaborating with sales representatives; organized demo days with demonstrations of laser cutting capabilities at showrooms

• Contacting potential customers

• Participating in industry shows and exhibitions

• Fulfilling time study for different machines

• Demonstrating Warcom presses, determining press configuration according to customer needs

MAZAK 2D lasers – Hypegear, HTX, STX Mark II, Super Turbo Champion (CO2 lasers with Panasonic resonator power up to 4000 Wt, flying optics or hybrid CNC machines with Fanuc and Mazatrol preveuw Controls)

MAZAK 3D machines for stamping and tube cut – Supergear 510, Supergear U44, Fabrigear 150, 300.

CNC Warcom presses and shears.

Additional laser machine equipment -
