OBJECTIVE

Obtain following position: RF or Microwave Test Technician.

SUMMARY

More than 30 years experience in Microwave/RF Measurement Product test and

development. Involved in all 4 generations of Anritsu Vector Network Analyzer

products, with emphasis on Analog, RF, and Microwave Hardware. Extensive “handson”

experience using Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, and other

RF and Microwave test equipment to troubleshoot system and module level problems.

Assembled/tested/troubleshot Millimeter Wave cal kits and VNA frequency extension

modules. Co-Managed, coached, and mentored design team efforts for recent generation

VNA bench-top products. Engaged in system level definition and module level design on

previous generations of VNA products. Evaluated performance and functionality of VNA

system designs, identified “short comings”, then proposed and implemented

improvements providing solutions to customer measurement problems.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

PROVEN TROUBLSHOOTING SKILLS

Strong technical knowledge in testing of Microwave, RF and Analog circuits.

In depth ability to read and comprehend schematics and block diagrams.

Keen ability to understand, analyze and draw conclusions from test results.

Strong understanding of Vector Network Analyzer Calibration techniques.

Experienced in determining "Measurement Uncertainty" with VNA

measurements.

Excellent ability to work independently and in a team.

Capable of identifying, quantifying and resolving system and module level

problems.

Skilled in use of measurement products needed to troubleshoot Millimeter,

Microwave and RF circuitry (i.e. Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers,

Power Meters, Noise Figure Meters, Oscilloscopes, Synthesizers, etc).

Can prepare data presentations using Excel, Word and PowerPoint software

program.

Excellent soldering and de-soldering skills.

Can work under a microscope for "tuning" or repair of circuits.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Managed a small group of engineers to design the Microwave and RF architecture

for “State of the Art” VNA measurement systems.
