Provide consultative services to manufacturing, construction, public utilities, and government clients at DOE’s Y-12, and ORNL sites as well as TVA. Safety oversight for ES&H, Inc.’s DOE Prime Contract servicing its Roads and Grounds with a staff of thirty (30) laborers, teamsters, and operating engineers. Duties include but are not limited to the weekly safety meeting, overseeing the performance of the ground maintenance such as road construction and repair, road maintenance (salt and brine operation) fire road maintenance, traffic control / flagging, erecting traffic control barricades, land clearing, mowing, culvert installation and replacement.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable safety regulations following the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) and writing the Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) a requisite on all DOE Y12 job sites.

Safety oversight for Rogers Group, G & S Construction Company and Roger’s Daniel Trucking companies in the paving of parking lots and structure of sidewalks and ramps off of Engineer Road and First Street at the DOE, Y12 Reservation. Conduct safety toolbox talks to coincide with the plan of the day, ensure the Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) is applied on the job and all applicable permits are on site at all times. Activities include: excavation, tree cutting, grading, inspection of heavy equipment, traffic control, control of site barricades due to pedestrian and automobile traffic, PPE, and maintaining communication with the Subcontractor Technical Representative (STR) and Roger’s Construction Manager of any applicable safety issues.

Pilot Travel Centers, LLC – Knoxville, TN (Nationwide), 2008-Present

Safety consultant for the nation largest fueling travel center distributor. Conducted onsite safety and health assessments for Pilot’s new construction travel centers, convenient stores and remodeled facilities built throughout the nation. Coordinated with corporate management for scheduling, conducted site ESH assessments, provided technical guidance to Project Managers, and prepared reports identifying hazards, evaluating potential risk based on frequency and severity, and recommended corrective measures to prevent future exposures for approximately 30 facilities per year. DOE, Y-12 National Security Complex Caddell-Blaine Joint Venture; Oak Ridge, TN., 2008-2008

Environmental, Safety, and Health Specialist / Supervisor for Caddell-Blaine Joint Venture to assist in providing Safety and Health Oversight of the new construction for the Y-12 National Security Complex (Y-12) Highly-Enriched Uranium Materials Facility (HEUMF) in the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Nuclear Weapons Complex. The HEUMF facility consisted of new construction activities for an 110,000 square foot building consisting of 35,000 cubic yards of concrete and several miles of electrical conduit installations. The construction site work force consisted of approximately four hundred-fifty (450) individuals and achieved a million (1,000,000) work hours without a reportable incident. Oversight included but was not limited to conducting daily walk downs, field observations, completing (daily and weekly) reports, accident investigations, safe work practice evaluations, participating and conducting safety meetings and other safety support related services as directed by the Caddell-Blaine Safety Department. Further, ES&H, Inc. professionals ensured subcontractor compliance with 29 CFR 1910, 29 CFR 1926, and 10 CFR 851 regulations.
