(Under supervision of experienced Tool Makers)

• Studied the specifications, blueprints, sketches and models

• Assisted in planning and writing numerically controlled programs

• Designed parts and procedures to manufacture and assemble tools & dies

• Measured, marked and scribed metal or plastic stock, to layout machining using instruments such as protractors, micrometers, height gauges and rulers.

• Setup and operate machine tools to machine parts such as lathes, milling machines, shapers and grinders

• Visited every plants and other units of Bosch

• Examined the current manufacturing line, observed cycle time for each operation

• Listed the drawbacks of existing line such as floor space, operator`s feasibility, machines etc

• Proposed a new layout by taking the above demerits into consideration

• Compared the proposed line with the existing one for the increased output

• Prepared a standardized work sheet for new line, time balance sheet.

• Implemented changes in POKA-YOKE, fixture, scheduling and manual working methods

• Finally suggested some process improvement methods in manufacturing fuel injection pumps
