-Director of Technology and Administration
• Directed the efforts of 65+ employees at a 19,000sq foot veterinary medical facility, including human resources, operations,
budgeting, technology, and negotiating with vendors. Core accomplishments include:
o Implemented a just-in-time inventory system utilizing computerized CUBEX inventory control cabinets for controlled drugs.
o Responsible for onsite server farm (server 2003-2008) including database, Terminal Server, Exchange, 40 workstations (mixed pc and Mac), all digital radiography equipment (X-ray, Ultrasound, and Siemens MRI), SAN storage devices.
o Budget responsibility of $4.5mm per year for three different companies, all located in the same facility.
o Utilized existing technology to identify two company employees committing a sophisticated time clock fraud scheme against our biometric time clock system.
o Identified the firm had core business financial problems (improperly filed tax returns, unpaid and misapplied state and federal taxes). Directed our new CPA’s in the process of correcting all legacy tax issues with the state and federal government.

Direct the efforts of IT technicians and office staff in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge metro areas. As vice president, function as the firms’ subject matter expert on networking, VPN, Servers, and database software to our technicians in the field. Evaluate technical staff, reviewing resumes, certifications, interviewing candidates, and making hiring recommendations to the company president. Some other duties and accomplishments include:
o Negotiate MSP contracts with larger clients, supporting their network and providing offsite backup, transitioning the firm away from the traditional “break fix” model.
o Restructured the firm’s finances following hurricane Katrina, helping to negotiate a larger line of credit and bridge loan to help keep the firm operating (with no interruptions in payroll or benefits to dislocated employees).
o Install, replace, repair, and maintain 1000’s of Windows servers (2000, 2003, 2008), Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Windows based personal computers (2000, XP, Vista, 7), SAN devices, network routers (CISCO, Sonicwall, Barracuda, Linksys, others).
o Install, configure, and administer back end databases running on Microsoft SQL server, Advantage, SQL plus, and Filemaker.
o Functioned as a project manager over a large EMR(Electronic Medical Records) and EHR(Electronic Hospital Records) software project at Culicchia Neurological Clinics, fully digitizing all aspects of their multi-clinic medical records with Centricity by GE.
o Supervise projects to deploy Microsoft Terminal Server, allowing offshore IT contractors a HIPAA compliant connection into the network to perform varying task (accounting, billing, medical transcription, and more).
o Wrote the firms first legal human resources handbook; Conducted periodic employee performance reviews, candidate interviews, and made hiring recommendations.
