EDUCATION AND TRAINING
s
MASTER Water Management and Administration University of Murcia.
SPAIN Oct 08-Jul 09 Modules of Law, Hidrology, Economy, History,
Geomorphology, Administration, Hydrogeology, Environment, Management,
Ecology and Remote Sensing, all of them related to water issues, with
final dissertation in "Placement of landfills at semiarid areas depending
on Groundwater".
Because of the location of the city itself in semiarid area and the
fact the irrigated region of Murcia is the most important in Europe in
terms of profitability and quality, the Master was especially oriented in
irrigation issues, managing the water available in its territory and its
best distribution through rivers and artificial channels, using groundwater
for drip irrigation.

Congress. Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. August 2012.

Graduate Business Programme GIEU University of Liverpool.
UK Jun-Jul 2006 An intensive business awareness
programme designed to equip graduates with the career management, personal
development and practical business skills required to meet the needs of
local companies. Modules include Team Working, Presentation Skills, Time
Management, Business Communication, Business Awareness and Making an Impact
in the Workplace.
BSc(Hons) Geology and Physical Geography University of Liverpool. UK
Sep04-May06 Dissertation in Coastal Environment at West Kirby, near
Liverpool, with field (sampling and measurement of the bed forms
parameters), computer (Excel tables and graphs, granulometry program ORIGIN
with final interpretation) and laboratory skills development (Drying out
sand samples, Particle grain size analysis through sieving and cumulative
frequency plots with Magnetic grain size analysis helped by magnetometer
and high field magnetiser). The main idea was to understand the
relationship between high-low tide vertical movements and the sand bed
forms created by them with final mapping.
Gained highest marks in modules related to water (geofluids, fluvial
response, glacial environments) and landscape configuration, with projects
well considered (40%) in the final marks. Mapping programs used in the
final year: CorelDraw in Liverpool for geomorphologic mapping, colouring
different geological, vegetation and population areas, with colour and
symbol legends with further explanation. IDRISI and ArcInfo, i.e. GIS
programs, in Granada, for geological mapping, showing rocks and structures.
Geology University of Granada. SPAIN
Oct 1995-Sep 2002 Completed four out of the five course
modules, which were undertaken over a six year period (as is usual in the
Spanish university system). The course was interrupted by my relocation
abroad and was partially completed in Liverpool.
