1988 –1992: Development Engineer

 Designed mechanical top-level packaging for pressure transducers and flight control systems.

 Designed a flexible circuit interconnect between a transducer and the printed wiring board.

 Developed test fixtures for flight control boxes.

 Designed 3D flexible printed wiring circuit assemblies to interconnect 4 gyros with the support electronics.

 Investigated and resolved production problems on existing product.

 Directed the work of drafters and technicians.

 Worked on a piloted co-located team project that resulted in the lowest number of ECO’s and rework for any new product launched in that division.

1984 –1988: Production Engineer

 Designed the build process of flight control bench testers, chassis assemblies and adapter cable tester.

 Developed tooling and fixtures to streamline the manufacturing process.

 Implemented cost reductions that also reduced defects, which in turn saved 15% cost in the production process.

 Incorporated ECO’s into production floor layouts.

 Controlled quality defects using statistical quality control methods.

 Implemented the automatic cable wire stripper cell that produced Mil-Std quality striped wires from a program. With a 15% savings in labor and rework, this cell was reproduced in several departments throughout Honeywell Avionics.
