CONSTRUCTION PROJECT EXPERIENCE
• Windsor Waterfront Retention Basin. Owner: City of Windsor ON. Cost $32M Worked on site as project manager. Work includes 6000 M3 cast-in-place concrete underground sewer storage chamber approximately 60mx20mx5m depth; 500m of 90” RCP in shafts and installed underwater in the Detroit River; pipe jacking of 30” casing under roadways; 25ft sheet pile retaining walls; control buildings; 500m segmental retaining wall. Through direct action and subordinates, managed changes and claims, contract amendments, engineering changes, cost control measures, schedule, and supervised completion of the project to the owner’s satisfaction.
• Leib Screening and Disinfection Facility. Owner: Detroit Water and Sewerage Department. Cost: $30M Worked on site as project manager and project engineer. Work included 100x100’ cast in place concrete screening facility 55 feet below ground surface; 24x20x100’ cast in place channels 55’ deep tapped into live 16’ diameter sewer; 5000 feet of 84” diameter RCP sanitary sewer installed by conventional TBM and pipe jacking with 40 foot depth shafts; 100x40’ above-ground masonry facility; mechanical, electrical, communication, and instrumentation systems at main facility and 3 remote sites. Managed many claims, contract amendments, engineering changes, cost control measures, and supervised completion of the project to the owner’s satisfaction.
• Genesee NEES 3A. Owner: Genesee County Drain Commissioner. Cost $20M Worked on site as project manager. Work includes 3500 feet of 72” diameter RCP sanitary sewer installed by conventional TBM and pipe jacking, and 6500 feet of 72” diameter RCP installed by open cut methods. Depth of pipeline was 45 to 52 feet under greenbelt and roadways. Managed many claims, dispute resolutions, contract amendments, engineering changes, cost control measures.
• Tecumseh Medical Center. Owner: TMC Inc. Cost $7.6M Project Manager. Work included 60,000 square foot multistory doctor’s office, with specialty suites.
• Genesee NEES 3C. Owner: Genesee County Drain Commissioner. Cost $8M Worked on site as project manager. Work includes 3200 feet of 54” diameter RCP sanitary sewer installed by conventional TBM and pipe jacking, and 7500 feet of 54” and 48” diameter RCP installed by open cut methods. Depth of pipeline was 38 to 45 feet under greenbelt, roadways, nature preserve, and golf course.
• MDOT Farmington Road Reconstruction. Owner: MDOT and Road Commission Oakland County. Cost: $6M Worked on site as project manager and project engineer. Work included 1.75 miles of removal of old four lane roadway, and replacing with new 5 lane concrete surface; install 5000’ of 16” water main.
• DWSD WS-627 Various Water Main Improvements. Owner: DWSD Cost: $3.3M Worked as project manager and project engineer. Work includes replacing existing water mains throughout various residential and major streets within the city of Detroit.
• Pontiac Woods Subdivision. Prime Contractor: John Carlo, Inc. Cost: $5.5M Worked as project manager and project engineer. Work included installation of approximately 150,000 feet of water, sewer, and storm piping.
• DWSD WS-656 Emergency Downtown Water Main Improvements. Owner DWSD managed by DLZ. Cost: $1.7M Worked as project manager and project engineer. Work included replacement of existing mains throughout the Detroit downtown area and restoration of affected streets in preparation for Super Bowl XL.
• Johnson Street Improvements. Owner: Jefferson Parrish, LA. Cost: >$1M. Worked as project manager. Work included installation of 1000 feet of 54” RCP drain and 2 acre retention pond.
• Fort Polk Security Improvements, Fort Polk, LA. Owner: US Army. Cost $400,000.00 Worked as project manager. Work included various security improvements for features on the base.
