The project comprises Hotel, Apartments, Offices, Showroom, Conference hall, Central Facilities buildings, 3 level basement parking where most of the service facilities including the hotel kitchen and cold room areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide a full technical and managerial service in respect to MEP works (Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Fighting, HVAC, etc) by direct coordination with the MEP Subcontractors.

Act as the interface conduit with the other specialist contractors on matters of construction and quality issues.

Work in close coordination with the architectural/ structural engineering department to ensure that all builders’ works are supplied as required.

Monitor information flow, equipment procurement and drawing production.

Coordinate and progress drawings/information. Such that information is obtained in line with the required construction program. Under take coordination meetings as and when required with all relevant parties and ensure any issues of conflict are address and draw to the attention of the client’s consultant.

Liaise with the client and services consultants to ensure all technical and design query are dealt with in an expeditious manner.

Chair MEP subcontractor coordination and technical meetings. Also participating in weekly health and safety environment meetings with contractors and consultants.

Monitor quality, progress of works via respective site coordination engineers and inspectors. Ensure the materials and installations comply with the specified requirements.

Direct supervision of subcontractors site engineers, QC engineers, and inspectors. Act independently to ensure that the quality objectives are met. Onsite issues like re- routing, clashing between services will be discussed and sort out in the daily coordination meeting.

Performing inspections of the materials, installation when advised. Ensure the compliance of work executed with the approved shop drawings through QA/QC inspectors prior to offering to consultant inspection. Advise MEP QA/QC engineer to prepare snag/incompleteness works and issue to the contractors to rectify prior to handing over the project.

Monitoring the phases of quality control work as per specification. Reviewing results of tests and inspection and advising of the status of acceptance.

Issue of non conformance reports when the specification or procedural requirements are not met.

Documenting all inspection and test on performances as required by the project quality plan.

Liaise with the planning manager regarding all programming of the works.

Manage the commissioning process as such ensure that the required start up and approval documentation format is approved by the clients consultants in advance of the testing and commissioning dates. Provide technical support.

Verify that MEP “As Built” documents are provided by the MEP Subcontractors in accordance with the project requirements.

Manage through the subcontractor the production of O & M manuals and client training.

Coordination with other project documents to ensure timely information flow.

Drawing control and issuing of the drawings to ensure the latest MEP construction drawings are being used, issue updated drawing register as appropriate ensuring that all information is relevant, coordinated and interfaced.

Ensuring that all information requests are managed in accordance with the company, ensure that client changes being reviewed, approved and duly incorporated in the design. Also ensure design and material approvals are obtained according to the specification.

Produce progress report with respect to submittals updating actual progress against planned and reporting variances.

Coordinate with project manager/construction managers on all aspects of design information. A detailed progress report will be issued to senior project manager each month for inclusion into the monthly report.

Issue any RFI’s that is related to engineering to the client’s team and progressing until required response is obtained.

Carrying out any other engineering duties that may be required from day to day to ensure the works are not delayed.

Ensure that engineering method statements have been reviewed and coordinated and sign off as appropriate. Also make sure that all documents are log and tracked in line with approved project procedures.

The Project Comprises 37 Storey Intercontinental hotel (6 star hotels), 21 Storey Crowne plaza (4 star hotels) ,34 storey Commercial building (office tower), Convention and Exhibition centre, 4 level podium facility containing car park, loading docks,utilities,staff facilities, hotel service facilities,reatail areas, swimming pools and water features.

• MOTOR CITY PROJECT (UP TOWN AREA,DUBAI, UAE)

The Project comprises of 33 Residential Buildings with 2101 apartments and 34 terraced villas. Buildings are divided into 6 types which are Circus Buildings (Total 9 Nos.), Southern Gates (Total 2No.), Gardens (Total 6Nos.), Courtyards (Total 8Nos.), Gates (Total 8 Nos.) and Crescent Villas. The buildings are mainly 3 storeys with 2 store underground car park except circular buildings which are 5 storeys.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and comment the drawings (builder work, shop drawing, as-built drawing) and provide inputs to mitigate the routing, clashes and co-ordination of related services (HVAC, PLUMBING, DRAINAGE, FIREFIGHTING & ELECTRICAL SERVICES). Also good in reviewing structural and architectural drawing to support for MEP activities.

Maintain specification and standard compliances by performing inspections with consultant, subcontractors of the MEP works to ensure that work executed. Meet the stipulated specification and standard.

Prepare engineering documents such as NCRs, Memos, and reporting directly to the Senior MEP Project manager.

Attending coordination and technical meetings with subcontractors, consultants, clients.

Monitor day to day progress installation on site, ensure completeness before inspection request by subcontractors on scrutiny of works, based on the inspection request, and invite the consultant for inspection.

Monitoring the periodical work progress and report the same to the seniors. Updating monthly progress and reporting directly to the projects director and client representative.

Discuss the design and site execution modifications with the consultants and subcontractors, make suggestions if necessary and report the same to the superiors.

Coerce the subcontractors to be complete the works as per the project planning program.

All MEP inspection will be carried out and commented for snag/incompleteness under my supervision and the same report will be issued to Senior MEP Project manager.

In addition to this i will take part in Mechanical services commissioning such as HVAC, PLUMBING, FIREFIGHTING, and LPG SYSTEM ETC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise the production of coordination drawings to ensure that all services are coordinated with each other and the building structure is complying with the contract requirements and as per regulations and local authority requirements.

Coordination and technical meeting with contractors, consultants.

Closely monitoring the quality of materials and installation of the work in accordance with the acceptance criteria identified for the project. Check the sequence of work and ensure safe plan for moving the machinery and equipment as planned.

Issuing instructions to site engineers/supervisors to complete the work in accordance with project planning, schedules, and allocating resources.

Any conflicts in Standards requirements are to be brought to the designer's attention for clarification.

Responsible for initiating site quality inspections for all MEP works. Coerce the subcontractors to complete the works as per project planning schedule. Advice the engineers strictly to maintain the quality of work till will complete the project.

Follow up the status of material, shop drawings, method statement for MEP work and keep all parties informed of the status and the implementation of client comments in timely manner.

Coordinate with sub contractors, engineers to obtain clearance before starting the work to ensure smooth and efficient execution of work. Re-routing/re-design as per project requirement will be informed to the assign engineers.

Provide technical support and solve all site technical issues to ensure completion of project within the stipulated time.

Arranging weekly progress meetings with all subcontractors to ensure we are meeting the project progress as per the target dates.
