v Remain engaged in R & D work related with the chemical investigations of various medicinal plants of biological importance. This includes extraction/isolation, purification and structural elucidation of compounds derived from plant sources applying modern analytical and spectroscopic techniques. This include:

· Pilot – plant preparation of odourless garlic powder – process developed and sold to bio care international.

· Commercial utilization of spent resinous matter of Dioscorea deltoida – process developed for extraction/recovery of diosgenin and fabricated for the party against payment.

· Phytochemical investigations of Zyziphus oxyphylla, Swertia ciliata and s. thomsonii – project completed and isolated eleven compounds including five new discoveries.

· Synthesis of Dimethyl aniline – process developed for the preparation of N, N – dimethyl aniline.

· Extraction, isolation and purification of natural products of biological significance, using HPLC, TLC, DCCC and Flash chromatographic techniques

· Analysis of raw material, finished products and in process compounds using various analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, AA, UV, FTIR and other wet chemistry techniques).

· Structure Elucidation of compounds by NMR (1D & 2D) and Mass Supervision of the R & D method development for natural products to ensure compliance with the current GMP/ GLP’s

· Investigation and documentation of out of specification results

· Performing laboratory inventories, SOP writing, chemical disposal, work planning, auditing and calibration schedule
