6 week Industrial Training at GSK Consumer Healthcare Ltd.
Erection of FBC boiler: June-July 2010
The idea behind the training was to learn the various instrumentation and control technologies involved in working of an fluidized bed combustion boiler that produced 22TPH steam.
Training at Netmax Technologies
Working with 8051 family of microcontrollers: June-July 2009
Training in 8051family microcontroller programming, and interfacing with peripherals like LCD, ADC, stepper motor, DC Motor and temperature sensor LM 35 in embedded C and introduction to ORCAD capture and Layout and TINAPro.
Innovation Technologies
Autonomous Robots: Sep 2008
Successfully designed an autonomous white line follower robot using a microcontroller using IR sensors.
Industrial Workshop
2 weeks workshop training: June 2008
Underwent 2 week training at workshop of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. The motive the workshop was to practically learn the working of basic tools and machines used in an industrial workshop.

Projects
Major Project May2011
Real time detection and tracking of face and eye motion during day and night driving conditions.
A Drowsy Driver Detection System was developed, using a non-intrusive machine vision based concepts. When fatigue is detected, a warning signal is issued to alert the driver.
Technologies Used: MATLAB
International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Assistive Technologies(BEATS)-2010
Paper on Generic Algorithm for Face Recognition using MATLAB Dec 2010
Presented a paper on an algorithm for Recognition of faces in a given image. It is an extension of previous project of face detection. It works by matching the template with the previously stored template. The eigen faces of two images are calculated and then the difference between them gives an idea of proximity to the previously stored face.
International Conference on Optoelectronics and Image Processing(ICOIP 2010)
Paper on Generic Algorithm for Face Detection using MATLAB Nov 2010
Presented a paper on an algorithm for Detecting the number of faces in a given image. It was based on the algorithm developed in May 2010 using MATLAB. This algorithm was based on Color Based Mask Generation Technique.
Face Detection Using MATLAB May 2010
Worked on the development of an algorithm for detection of faces from a given image in MATLAB using color based mask generation technique. Image thus generated is thus filtered my using maximal rejection ratio. Finally a plotbox is drawn around the detected face.
