Celeritas Technologies is an Overland Park based IT consulting firm that has specialized in ‘from scratch' applications development, among other disciplines, since 1995. While small in number the company was large in reputation and ability to engineer quality software for its customers. During my time there I was not only responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company operation but also the architecture and refinement as necessary of all Celeritas' business development strategies.

The company has been profitable, weathered current and past economic challenges, maintained its approximately 30 employees, and been a substantive asset to its Kansas City region customer base.

CeleritasWorks (CW) provides software products and services under a software as a service (SAAS) model to hundreds of energy companies all across the country. I started this company from scratch, authored its business plan(s) and was responsible for the functional design of the products and services that currently serve that marketplace. The suite of Web and GIS based applications provide a variety of solutions to help solve the regulatory and compliance responsibilities of those companies. My responsibilities within CeleritasWorks ranged from P/L management, directing personnel, product development, to business and market development. In recent years, the company has been profitable and grown substantially. CeleritasWorks surpassed Celeritas Technologies in revenues for the first time in 2010 and is on pace to appreciably improve that lead this year. CeleritasWorks has approximately 30 employees, has received patents on its offering and has a solid position in the markets it serves.

Century provided IT professional services (applications development, database management, network and systems administration, etc.). While at Century, I was primarily responsible for developing new customers in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. When I started the company had approximately 25 billable consultants on staff and when I left in December of 2007 they had over 100. I was the # 1 sales contributor the entire time I was there and Celeritas was one of my accounts.
