I graduated from The University of Manchester with a 2:2 MChem honours in Chemistry in July of 2008, I was previously employed at FEDEA school, centre for autism working as a teaching assistant. At the moment I am employed as a support staff in a primary school, I work one to one with a pupil diagnosed with Down’s syndrome.
In my position at above schools I was directed by SEN teachers in order to help pupils succeed with their learning. I helped pupils who had difficulty communicating with others, including those whose first language was not English as well as helping pupils increase their confidence, self-esteem and independence.

• Working with a child, diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome during the school year.
• Applying the FEDEA individual program for this child under the teacher’s instructions.
• Preparing tasks, written exercises and homework for this child under the teacher’s instructions.
• Supervising students during snack and lunchtime hours, assisting with pupils' physical needs, including hygiene and feeding.
