Directed $3M South African emulsion capacity project that increased production 40%. Critical eight month project required technical manager. Selected to lead difficult upgrade. Integrated local labor pool successfully. Negotiated with government authorities to secure permits. Completed project on-time and $125K under budget.

Salvaged two projects that had been woefully under-managed. Existing projects under the control of other project managers were failing. Chosen to get projects back on track. Conducted analysis. Installed critical 35KV power upgrade that eliminated $500K per day profit risk potential. Project required building backup power supply. Negotiated project change that saved $600K out of $1.4M project budget. Project to install special storage tanks and protective drainage system was over-engineered. Supervised six direct employees as well as multi disciplined project teams. Streamlined the design, installation and capacity handling of hazardous chemical containment projects.

Senior Project Engineer, Merck and Company, a $25B pharmaceutical company, 1999 to 2006.
