Objective: With almost 7 years of formal and informal teaching experience in hand, I would like to keep it up as my career, diversify my skills and share my experiences with new students. Being an Afghan, I have a good knowledge of Pashtuns’ cultural sensitivities and traditions. Being a member of a family of Pashto writers, poets and broadcasters, I grew up in a literary environment. My elders’ influence has made me a fan of Pashto literature and a great reader of Pashto poetry and prose. I am native speaker of Parsi, being a national language of Afghanistan and studied at school during my studies. I have been appreciated among American and non-Pashtun circles in US for my knowledge on the culture and traditions of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Some friends even wished to visit the region and many others expressed interest in learning Pashto, Urdu and Farsi languages. It also pushed me for seeking a career in teaching Pashto and Farsi here in US. As an Afghan woman, I believe, I am in a better place to explain the culture, land and society of the region to foreign students.

Personal Information: Job History: I am a multi-lingual career teacher since 2006 in Pakistan’s Karachi city. Throughout this period I taught Pashto, Urdu, Accounting, Economics, Business Math and Mathematics in English medium schools. Lately, I was a Senior Teacher and Coordinator for grade 9 and 10 classes’ students. During my teaching career, I polished my skills via passing through different training sessions and workshops. Since I am in USA, I started working at Wal-Mart a world’s No.1 retail store. But still looking to expend my career in teaching as my all education and my teaching experience reflects my main career goal. A summary of my job history starting from latest is given below:
