Tramontina Design & Services, Inc. - November 2005 to present

Lead Designer

This in-house design position for a cookware manufacturer included design of packaging from presentation to film for retail giants such as WalMart, Target, Sam’s & Bed, Bath & Beyond. Coordinating brochures, ads, POP displays, and presentation and promotional materials customized for each retailer. Experience mocking up full-scale product and packaging samples, as well as proof reading and copy writing.

MM’s Designs, Inc. - May 2001 to November 2005

Art Director & Illustrator

Design and illustration of high-end stationery and gift items, marketing materials, and project management in high volume in-house design room. Our products were sold to retailers ranging from Hallmark to Hobby Lobby. My artwork was licensed to mega-industry manufacturers such as CR Gibson, Glitterwrap and Design Design. Assisted in design and setup of industry trade shows such as the International Stationery Show in NY, and Gift Shows in NY & Dallas. Prepared all stationery and catalog files for press and bindery, coordinated printing with embossing, foil stamping and die-cutting processes and attended and signed off at all press checks.

Freelance Work - PMD Marketing - 2005 to 2006

Mostly production work for a marketing company specializing in the banking and financial industry including newsletters, postcard mailers and pamphlets.

DESIGN QUALITIES

Illustration skills: Digital, watercolor, oils, acrylic, pen & ink, colored pencil, pastels

Design skills: Print work with emphasis on package design, collateral and coordinated design systems

Production skills: Pre-press, color correction, digital manipulation, screen printing, experience with ArtiosCAD and using a Kongsberg large-format cutting table, experience using both YAG and CO2 laser engraving machines, proof reading, copy writing
