Foil Press Operator
• Responsible for operating the printing equipment and procedure.
• Worked on a small Ryobi 2800 or 3200 one or two color press and AB Dick one or two color press.
• Used Ryobi small two colors offset press 9985/9995 with registration board.
• Responsible for training new candidate about mixing link, bindery, special cuts, layout, striping and burning metal plates.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned.
• Operated machine to emboss and imprint designs, lettering, numbers, or product information onto surfaces.
• Set heat, pressure, and time controls, according to material to be stamped.
• Installed and locks character wheel, embossing die, or stamping die in heated chase of machine.
• Inserted reel of specified material, such as foil, gold-leaf, coated ribbon, or plastic tape in holder or on spindle, and threads end through rollers which feed and guide material under die mounted on ram of machine or places sheet of foil over impression.
• Positioned and aligned work piece under holding arm in bed of hand fed machine or feed hopper of automatically fed machine in position specified on work order or in illuminated window on computerized machine.
