o Determined what type of wash-water separation system would be best for a quarry through data collection and analysis, wrote a detailed report with several implementation options, presented my findings to the DNR and quarry decision makers, and thus prevented hundreds of tons of silt from reaching the Mississippi River annually

• Wastewater Treatment System Upgrade, Lakeview Knolls, North Liberty, IA

o Worked as project manager on a team of four engineers to arrange site visits, meet with stakeholders, gather and analyze monitoring report data, design three upgrade options to make the system comply with NPDES standards, and report and present findings

• Phytoremediation Wastewater Design Upgrade, Stanwood, IA

o Collaborated with Ecolotree, Inc. and stakeholders to design wastewater upgrades, one of which was a phytoremediation option that was ultimately recommended and saved the city thousands of dollars on capital and annual costs, as well sequesters CO2
