WORK EXPERIENCE:

(05/2011-Present) Research Assistant, Tuskegee University Microelectronics Laboratory

Thesis: ‘Low Temperature Fabrication of germanium devices on SOI for photonic integration’. Thesis Advisor: Prof. K. K. Das.

Thesis investigates the fabrication of Ge photo-detectors on silicon and SOI substrate using low-temperature (3500C) sputter deposition. The quality of the deposited films and diode devices are characterized using Hall Effect, conventional 4-point sheet resistivity, I-V, and C-V measurements. Ge p-n junction and Ge gate HJFET detectors are being developed for 1.5 µm wavelength silicon photonics.
