Professional Experience
Willdan Financial Services - Analyst 08/11 - Present
Responsible for administration of Special District tax assessments for 15 cities in Southern California. Includes
extensive interaction with property owners, and senior level staff of client cities. Audit District records at the parcel level,
monitor delinquencies and place updates on tax rolls (including levy data) on county assessor records for client Districts.
Create legally required annual reporting documents, disclosures and Engineer's Reports. Extensive use of MS Excel, Word
and Outlook as well as data base analysis and reporting via Crystal reports.
The Travis R. Roy Sudden Cardiac Arrest Fund (CA based non-profit) - Founder/President 01/06 – Present
Lost youngest son Travis to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) in 2005. Founded a non-profit organization (The Travis
Fund www.thetravisfund.org) to raise awareness about SCA, to encourage people to learn Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
(CPR), and to place Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) in public schools and facilities. To-date, responsible for the
placement of 118 AED’s in public schools and have had one save so far.
First Advantage CREDCO (credit reporting company) Senior Financial Analyst/IT Business Analyst 11/98 – 12/08
Senior Financial Analyst - As a Senior Analyst in the Finance group:
Developed and maintained large databases and provided statistical metrics as well as financial analysis
and reporting on historic, trended and current business data to senior management.
Monthly reporting covered data mining thousands of credit transactions and auditing against contracted
price levels per department/division.
Successfully engaged in multiple initiatives simultaneously while monitoring and reporting on thousands of
credit data transaction expenses from all three credit bureaus.
Was responsible for Credit Data Accounts Payable (> $5.5 million per month).
All tasks were accomplished through the use of PC, Local Area Network and Web based technologies and
applications.
Primary programs used were MS Outlook, Word, Power Point, Visio and Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros,
Charts, Graphs, multi-linked worksheets, etc), as well as data down loads from multiple sources in multiple
formats into MS Access Databases then into Excel for reporting purposes.
IT Business Analyst - As an Analyst in the IT department for first six years – maintained financial metrics, as well
as contractor, payroll and budgetary performance reporting for an IT Department of over 135 employees and
contractors with a budget in excess of $20 million. This included:
Monthly General Ledger Analysis - hardware/software, payroll and all other departmental expenses.
FTE and Consultant Analysis - ongoing monitoring of FTE and Consultant activity and expense
impact. Required maintaining several Excel worksheets, org charts, monthly payroll analysis, monthly
consultant expense analysis, and detailed consultant trends for IT projects. Required a good working
relationship with IT managers to stay current with each department's staffing activity.
Annual Focal Point Review (raises) and Quarterly IT Bonus process - Coordinated with IT
management and accounting for 135 IT employees.
Tracked IT maintenance agreements. Costs exceeded $2,000,000 annually. Required coordination
with IT management, purchasing, and accounting departments. Provided management with the
information needed to determine if software and hardware was under maintenance and provided a
heads up when a renewal decision is pending. Used as a tool to project future maintenance costs.
Processed Consultant and Maintenance invoices - included invoices from consultants from multiple
locations and countries as well as LAN software/hardware maintenance contracts.
ADVANTA Mortgage Corp. (multi-state mortgage lender) - Business Systems Analyst & Sr. Technical Writer 1/88 – 11/98
Held two different positions at ADVANTA; Business Systems Analyst and early on as a Technical Writer.
In both positions, utilized a variety of PC, Local Area Network and AS/400 based applications to provide cost
effective systems analysis, and programming design solutions for business user needs.
Programmed legal documents (Mortgages, Deeds and Notes and Riders) for all 50 states.
In conjunction with support staff, managed a project load of between 70 to 100 projects per month.
Maintained internal communications including an extensive system of user and operations manuals, as well as
hundreds of forms and legal documents.
Additional responsibilities included the production and maintenance of a forms catalog, Human Resources support
materials, a corporate newsletter and a variety of sales, training and marketing support pieces.
De Luz Community Services District (local community services) President/Board Member 11/96 – 01/05
In the community, served eight years as a publicly elected official.
Was President of the Board and Chairman of the Engineering Committee for the De Luz Community Services

planning, federal grant applications research.
