EUROCAE WG-67/Data Center Move /Server Consolidation / Project Management /Change /Configuration Management/Implementation / SOX 404 / Infrastructure / Process Engineering/21 CFR Part 11/ NIST 800 and FIPS/PMP

Provided critical IT management for Fortune 500 environments, including communications, banking / financial services. Managed / developed and implemented tactical / strategic plan for deployment staff, and managed equipment configuration on multi-billion dollar programs. Provided IT direction for deployment of critical microwave, Cisco voice and data networks and Mainframes. Developed, implemented and maintained IT policies, procedures / training for configuration / change organization. Created budgetary proposals with ROI projections, saving millions.

• Maintain a network of contacts and teaming partners; generate and qualify leads and develop proposals

• Manage the Pfizer Global VoIP & WiFi Program with a budget of $72M and a staff of 17 PMs and Managers

• Managed the consolidation and migration of numerous global application servers across several Pfizer Data Centers.

• Manage the full life cycle of the project selection and resource assignment process for all of Global Network Services(GNS)

• Developed and deployed the Global Release Management Solution for all of Global Network Services

• Developed all deployment and construction procedures for the Grumman NYC Wireless Data Center construction

• Managed the deployment of 27 Data Centers for Harris/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA,) a $2.7 Bil program

Doctorate (Computing) Pace University (2012), MBA, Business, FMU; BS, Physics, CUNY; BS, Construction, Thomas Edison. ITIL and PMP certified. Six Sigma (Green Belt) trained and NIST Security certified, CISSP In Progress.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Developed an Enterprise Architecture (EA) for the Northrop Grumman NYCWin $500Mil Program

Northrop Grumman won a $500mil contract to build two Data Centers and an IP Wireless/VoIP (TD-CDMA) network for all NYC First Responders. The program was lacking the expertise to develop an Enterprise Architecture detailing operating procedures and processes from procurement to staging, to deployment and operation turnover. I went in and developed all the NOCC and Data Center operating processes and procedures with an eye on ITIL recommended standards. This resulted in an award fee payment to Grumman in the amount of $3Mil as this was a contract deliverable.

Manage the Pfizer Global VoIP & WiFi Program with a budget of $72M and a staff of 35 including PMs and Managers

Pfizer embarked on an initiative to modernize their voice and wireless network infrastructure, but very early ran into problems with the management and metrics reporting aspect of the program. After assuming responsibility of the program a number of standards, templates and process were implemented. This corrected the issues identified and quickly brought the program back on tract with saving amounting to $3Mil in three months.

Managed the deployment of 27 Data Centers for Harris/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA,) a $2.7 Bil program

The FAA needed to build 27 fully meshed DS3 connected Data Centers (DC) across the country to facilitate the new nationwide telecommunication infrastructure that was sanctioned to be built. I assumed the responsibility to manage the build out of the DCs over a two year period. These DCs were also designed to be the Tier I backbone sites for the network. They were built and commissioned on scheduled and on budget which resulted in a $15Mil award fee per the contract.

Managed the consolidation and migration of numerous global application servers across several Pfizer Data Centers in a VMware Internal Cloud configuration.

Pfizer embarked on an energy and cost savings initiative across their entire Data Center infrastructure. Global Network Services (GNS) was one of the organizations that needed to participate in this exercise. I was chosen to be the Sr. Project Manager to execute the Data Center consolidation project which included server consolidation (running Linux, Windows and Solaris) , SANs migration and VMware in an Internal Cloud configuration. These servers supported SQL, Oracle and Sybase applications and required BCP and HA configuration modification as well as SANs modifications. A plan was developed and implemented with the functional managers which brought the vision of the Data Center migration and consolidation to reality.

Manage the full life cycle of the project selection and resource assignment process for all of Global Network Services(GNS)

Pfizer implemented an enterprise project management system that documents and manages the SDLC of projects from conception to closure. I managed this process for all projects within GNS and assign the relevant resources to each project (Project Manager, Engineer, Technicians). This also required the establishment and management of relationships with the various business lines that GNS supported. I was the single point of contact for projects within the GNS PMO.

Developed and deployed the Global Release Management Solution for all of Global Network Services (GNS). A formal release management process needed to be developed and deployed for Pfizer GNS to facilitate Pfizer’s regulatory compliance requirements. I developed and implemented the process taking incorporating ITIL best practice concepts.
