Professional Experience
Company President
August 2010 to July 2012
Diamond National Glass Company – Santa Fe Springs, California
When I took over the company it was in dept, had no work on the books and had 2 glaziers working part time. We started off 2012 with multiple signed contracts in the millions,12 men in the field and 4 of us in the office. From January to July of this year the company billed 3 times our 2011 company volume.
My father wanted me to purchase the company but we could not seem to reach an agreement that
made sense for both parties.
Owner /CEO
May 2005 to July 2010
Cherokee Glass Company – Costa Mesa, California
Owned and operated a small glass company with 2 to 3 employees. I sold, managed and installed the projects myself with a helper or two. The company did 750,000.00 to 1,200,000.00 per year. I shut the company down in 2010 and went to Diamond National where I ran the company with the intention to purchase it.
Owner / C.E.O.
April 1997 to June 2002
Brown's Architectural Glass Co.– Monrovia, California
Employed 20 to 25 people, had an annual volume of 3.5 to 4 million. I ran the day to day operations of the company. This was a Union Glass Company.
Glazing Superintendent / Sales -Project Manager / Vice President
March 1990 to March 1997
Diamond National Glass Company – Paramount, California
As Glazing Supt. I did the daily scheduling of 55 to 65 men and 6 to 7 Foremen, ordered materials, set up projects, kept track of company issued materials, supplies and equipment, checked all time cards and prepared them for the Payroll Department, worked on field problems and spoke to superintendents and project managers regarding scheduling and field issues.
In 1994 I took the Contractors State exam and received my California State Contractors License. As Salesman and Project Manager I called on customers, did pricing and take offs, prepared submittals for approval, drew my own shop drawings for architects approval, kept track of change orders, prepared billings, helped architects with design, ordered materials, interacted with our field personnel, the contractor and owners of the projects. I saw the projects through from beginning to end. In 1995 and 1996 I hired another Project manager to help manage my work because my sales had exceeded 3.5 to 4 million per year. From Jan. 1st 1997 to Feb. 28th 1997 I had sold approximately 5 million dollars in renovation projects and new construction projects.
