Surveillance inspection during welding includes weld parameters, inter pass temperature, electrode weaving, baking of electrodes (low hydrogen electrodes) correct use electrode/filler wire according to the WPS etc.
Weld visual inspection includes under cut, reinforcement, surface porosity, under fill, etc.
In hand experience in conducting magnetic particle and liquid penetrant testing and interpretation of results.
Review of radiographic films, monitor and control of weld repair rate by analyzing the repairs, explain to welders and giving adequate training.
