2008 to present: Program Manager at Sierra Lobo Inc., leading test planning for NASA Constellation launch vehicles and determining criteria for first crewed flight. Management of personnel, planning and budget including customer relations with NASA and corporate management, contract and subcontract management, product improvement, Lean Six Sigma and risk mitigation programs.
1987 to 2001: Engineering manager for the Lockheed team developing commercial satellite control systems and performing Space Station upgrades to the NASA Mission Control Center including business development and proposals. Also performed subcontract management, assuring conformance to the FAR and related regulations.
1980 to 1987: Manager and engineer for Northrop at the NASA Johnson Space Center responsible for sustaining engineering and operations of the Shuttle Manipulator Development Facility, Astronaut Weightless Training Facility, Space Environment Simulation Labs and the Astronaut Measurement Labs. Proposal manager for contract renewal and management representative for successful union negotiations.
Prior Work: Hughes Aircraft Company in El Segundo, CA, engineering development of satellite control ground equipment for communications and weather spacecraft. Performed field support and customer training for computer installations throughout Europe and the Far East.
