Resume Larry Austin

December **’ – April **’ Quebecor (now World Color) Heavy emphasis on critical color matching and Photoshop stat assembly based on existing InDesign layouts. Color matching digital on-figure files to softline merchandise mainly for Victoria’s Secret catalog and web work. Emphasis of work done in Photoshop, with some assembly work done in InDesign and Quark Express. Had to successfully meet extremely tight deadlines for a very demanding client.

April 06’ – December 06’ Gaston Advertising Agency Photoshop retouching for Ulta cosmetics catalog and in store signage. Did some assembly work in InDesign and Quark Express. (Worked Free-Lance)

December 96’ – April 06’ Ambrosi and Associates (now Schawk) Essentially was the night supervisor of their digital imaging department for the duration of my time there. At one time I had 18 employees reporting directly to me. My duties included delegating work to my staff, retouching and Photoshop assembly, information coordination, color critical quality control of files, raw file conversation, scanning, proofing, and maintaining equipment. I also handled any issues pertaining to staff administration, and participated in production meetings.

October 94’ – December 96’ Wace Midwest Imaging (Ross-Ehlert) Responsibilities included working with various retouching and input/output devices, including Mac, Kodak Premier imaging system and LVT output technology. Also worked with Kodak Photo CD scanner, Canon color copiers, and other peripherals. My main emphasis of work was aimed at retouching of 3 and 4 color high resolution images using Photoshop. These images I then incorporated into electronically produced photo compositions that were mainly used for display purposes. In some instances they were used in publication. Heavy emphasis on PMS color matching.

November 93’ – October 94’ K&S Photographics This is where I began to learn much about photo composition and file assembly using Photoshop. Again, much of the work here was done for display purposes, and color matching was critical. I also did some photo restoration here as well.

February 88’ – November 93’ Wace Midwest Imaging (Ross-Ehlert) I worked at Ross-Ehlert’s Kodachrome lab until March of 89’ when I moved to their main lab. At both locations my main duties were film processing. In the summer of 92’ I began working in their digital imaging department and have been retouching and doing file assembly since that time.
