Forecast and anchor the weather for the 6pm and 9pm weekday newscasts. In charge of 3-person weather staff. Provide daily weather forecasts for ten area radio stations. Work with Weather Central’s 3D Live Fusion computer system and WSI TruView linux-based computer system.
Design weather graphics. Produced and narrated a 10-minute video to demonstrate National Weather Service errors in covering Evansville. This video was shown in Washington D.C. by local delegation in a successful attempt to gain a local NWS NEXRAD Doppler Radar for Evansville area.
Developed network of weather spotters for reporting severe weather. Wrote, produced, edited and hosted 30-minute prime-time special on the Ohio River during the Flood of 1997. Narrated one-hour PBS special on earthquakes.
Host weekly primetime high school quiz show. Speak at numerous schools, MC at several community functions, announcer for area parades.
*Completed the Mississippi State University Broadcast Meteorology program in August 1995.
*Earned National Weather Association Broadcaster Seal of Approval in 1996.
*Voted 2010 and 2011 Evansville Courier & Press Readers’ Choice Gold Award Winner as Best Local TV Personality.
