Analyze, review and staff all documents related to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) program at Fort Jackson.
Evaluate the probable impacts of proposed actions on environmental media such as air, water, noise pollution, generation of toxic or hazardous waste, archeological and historic sites and endangered and threatened species at Fort Jackson.
Provide environmental coordination with the Fort Jackson Environmental Division and outside agencies like the United States (U.S.) Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Develop Environmental Assessments (EAs), Records of Environmental Consideration (RECs), Mitigation Action Plans (MAPs), and related support documents for proposed military training, operation, maintenance, real estate actions, and other undertakings proposed by/for Fort Jackson and tenant and user units. Technical advisor to Fort Jackson and tenant activities regarding NEPA requirements and other environmental regulations.

Provide technical guidance to the Installation and subordinate/tenant units on Pollution Prevention (P2) and Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) reporting.
