QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY - Business Analyst
Analysis and Design:
Designed wireline reporting and/or data collection processes for Sprint Capacity Planning, Operations, Forecasting, Marketing, Finance and Access Management departments using combinations of call detail, OM, FMS, International, SS7, CLEC and ION data. Developed processes at Yellow Freight to track cost and use of voice/data services using multiple vendor supplied data. Worked with vendors and Sprint teams to develop new call detail and OM records for the Sprint CLEC and ION platforms. Assisted in the development of data delivery methods for the new platforms.
Recommended cost saving alternatives while insuring current service levels would improve or remain the same. Implemented a multi-vendor strategy to give Yellow Freight increased advantage in contract negotiations. Developed reports to track calling card and directory assistance use at a department level.
Developed in-house ATT System 85 PBX reporting, equipment documentation and call detail/calling card reporting. Developed applications to support AP charge back and auditing activities at Yellow Freight.
Experienced in strategic and tactical planning, technology evaluation and selection, network optimization, contract negotiations and cost control review. Considered the Subject Matter Expert at Yellow for wireline services. Experienced with all elements of 800, VPN and business line services. Knowledge of VOIP.
Project Management:
Maintained and improved Alcatel SS7 24/7 data collection and reporting process. Worked with Alcatel during the development of STP S/W upgrades to insure there would be no impact to existing reporting capabilities.
Supported internal charge back activities, assured contract compliance and monitored variances for all Telecom Services at Yellow Freight. Provided network expenditure forecasts and evaluated tariff impacts.
Performed liaison functions between groups of different knowledge levels (i.e. vendors/customers, engineering/management) to manage trouble resolution and service upgrades.
Technical:
Responsibility for all aspects of SS7 data delivery and reporting. Maintained the data collection scripts used for data collection and operating system s/w on NiSUS, Alcatel’s pre CMC platform. Gained new knowledge of VOIP hardware (Nortel) while a VOIP technician for Sprints cable initiative. At NPG Cable, I performed some of the same functions for their Business VOIP offering. Have some experience with MetaSwitch equipment and Quest and ATT porting applications.
Created and presented Basic Network and SS7 Overview classes at Sprint. Presented Network Overview classes at Control Data/United Telecom.
Represented the Network Performance Department by serving on SS7, NGVN, CLEC and ION teams to ensure all new H/W was capable of supplying data required to manage and maintain the networks.
