Supplied technical services for a wide area network comprised of 150+ users and workstations, along with a variety of peripheral devices in four locations. Managed user accounts, passwords, groups, and policies through Microsoft Active Directory. Managed and sustained 20 servers with 99.9% uptime. Servers included a blackberry server, exchange server, terminal server, NAS, SQL Server, IIS intranet web server, and Tape Backup server. Created scripts using VBScript to help monitor and maintain PBC servers with conditional email alerts and automated tasks. *Home Depot Swap Install Project (Multi-Location project from LA to Riverside County)
Worked in a team of 3 of 4 people to complete a swap and cut-over of Home Depot’s wireless network. Job demanded two scissor lifts to reach ceiling heights of 20 to 35 feet. We followed a map with floor plans & AP points as well as detailed sets of a project manuals; sites consisted of 3 to 4 black boxes and an MDF. Our team assembled and labeled 25 to 35 Cisco AP units to metal base with a clean attachment of a 3-foot patch cable. We also assembled and labeled Cisco AP Units to NEMA boxes, attached antenna to NEMA Box & AP Unit.
- Created a list of serial numbers of new AP Units and their Map ID Number
- Performed a total of 25 to 40 clean CAT5 wire runs through unistrut and in rare cases wood beams; from AP map points to black boxes
- Mounted indoor and outdoor Cisco Wireless AP units and NEMA boxes in precise positions as directed by map points and manual
- Preformed terminations, via punch-down, of all cables to black boxes & module jacks in T-568B standard
