RESPONSIBILITIES – Manufacturing - Planning Supervisor – My team was composed of six salaried direct reports responsible for experimental Planning and Outsourcing of detail and machine components. We were responsible for creating manufacturing routings, coordinating all sustaining experimental developmental programs and simulator kits. We also developed and coordinated with internal and external suppliers to produce machined and fabricated details as well as experimental tooling for the Cessna Wichita facility. My responsibility included project management for experimental aircraft assigned to me by my management. My tasks also included but were not limited to: 1) Project Management activities, 2) Investigation and corrective action of design, material, quality, tooling and/or processing issues, and 3) Supplier Management/Coordination activities. I was responsible for an annual budget of 5 to 10 Million dollars for outsourcing and various experimental projects. I also sat on the Project Engineering Procedures Committee (PEP) as a signing member. The committee developed and approved new procedures for Cessna Project Engineering.

Manufacturing Engineer - Senior

2000-2007 – Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Tooling outsourcing; all Cessna models.

I worked with outside suppliers to produce assembly-tooling details for the Cessna Wichita, Independence and Columbus facilities. I provided technical support to for sourced components. Tasks included but are not limited to: 1) Project Management activities, 2) Investigation and corrective action of design, material, quality, tooling and/or processing issues, and 3) Supplier Management/Coordination activities. I traveled domestically to suppliers on a daily basis. Our group of three employees managed a 10 million dollar annual budget.

1998-2000 – Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Production Floor Support (Liaison) between Manufacturing, Project Planning, Engineering, Flight Line, Tool Engineering and many aircraft components suppliers. My responsibilities also included modifying and creating manufacturing plans (Routings), writing tool work orders. I was responsible for the development and implementation of tools, engineering designs, manufacturing techniques, processes and procedures. I implemented several cost improvements with an average savings of approximately $50, 000 to $100,000.00.

1997 – Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Production Floor Support (Liaison Eng.) on the Single Engine production lines in Independence, Kansas. I was responsible for training Manufacturing Engineering team members and leaders. I was responsible for developing, installing and monitoring shop-operating plans on all on the Single Engine production lines.

1995 – Lead Industrial Engineer - Promoted to a Lead Industrial Engineer on the model 208 production line. As with my previous positions on the CX and 525, I worked as. As an I.E. lead, my responsibilities included Production Floor Support, manpower forecasting and line flow issue resolution.

1994 – Production Supervisor on the Citation X production line. I had seventy-five team members reporting directly to me. My team was responsible for building the Citation X Forward cabin, Aft Cabin and Empennage assemblies and mating them prior to major systems installations.

1993 – Manufacturing Engineer Senior- Citation X. I was Manufacturing Engineering liaison responsible for initiating engineering and planning changes before line start-up. I worked as a liaison between Manufacturing, Project Planning, Engineering, Flight Line, Tool Engineering and aircraft components vendors. I modified and created shop operating plans and routings.
