Academic Research experience:

Thesis project at TNNVENTTA AB (STFT), Stockholm, Sweden from October 2010.

Title-Micro fibrillated Nanocellulose (MFC) as turbulence dampener. Tnnventia has recently developed a new type of cellulose material called nanocellulose or microfibrillated cellulose (MFC). This material is composed of very long and thin (10-20 nm) crystalline cellulose

particles. Suspensions of MFC have an interesting rheological behaviour, which could be used to influence the rheology of a fibre suspension. Hence, MFC could possibly be used as a formation agent. The advantage over traditional formation agents would be that MFC is not fragile, and thus more suitable in an industrial environment. It is believed that the beneficial

effect on the formation is coupled to a dampening of the turbulence in the suspension.

As a master student of FSCN (Fibre science and communication) department in Mid Sweden

University, during laboratory work in SCA, Learnt technical skills in,

• Bleaching of pulp.

• Hand made paper making.

• Paper testing methods.

• Process system handling of pulp and paper mill.

• Imaging science and Technology for various paper sheets.

Project profile

ZMAB1 mutant strain producing novel antibiotic PM181104” which shows activity for treatment of multi drug strains MRSA and VRE.
