database of tobacco related questions and response formats in national, state and local surveys. Questions are linked between surveys in the Question Inventory on Tobacco
to provide a comprehensive list of surveys and years in the database. Also, provide support to Project Manager for data quality control and application quality assurance
to support various database activities.

NCCDPHP/Division of Nutrition Physical Activity and Obesity
Support and update PEDNSS & PNSS Surveillance System Database by processing and analyzing nutritional and behavioral data collected through FTP and SDN transmissions. Assisted in transferring over 100 million records to SQL database,
for testing of new client server system, ensuring data integrity to build and maintain
historical files. Performed parallel processing of mainframe and PC files to support and integrate the PedNSS/PNSS from mainframe to client-server. Participated in testing the client-server system by processing files through the new software and report findings by entering software issues into the tracking software for programmer to resolve. Run SQL scripts created by programmer in Query Analyzer and Enterprise Manager. Provide technical assistance to states to ensure accurate results for their monthly, annual and national reports. Maintain Excel spread sheets that track incoming files. Assist in organizing files for annual and national report production.
Received Group Honor Award for exceptional service in completing multi-year upgrade of two surveillance systems.
