SUMMARY:

I have been working in the safety field for over 38 years. The safety functions that I have performed are as follows:

Perform safety audits, OSHA related training as needed, write site specific safety programs and policies, work with their Worker’s Comp carrier to reduce the EMR for the client and work to create a safer work environment for the client and their employees.

I have many years of management, operations and safety experience in the retail, chemical, industrial and commercial construction and pulp and paper industries. The accomplishment that I am most proud of is helping one of the clients that I worked with re-write their complete Hot Work/Confined Space/LEO (Line and Equipment Opening) and LO/TO (Lock-out/Tag-out) permitting system. I am the only contractor safety person in the history of their operations to be involved in this process for their company. I have held key safety management positions that have included the responsibility for compiling and instituting a safety program and various safety policies/procedures for various construction companies. I have performed as an “expert witness” on both the state and federal levels for safety issues.
