BACKGROUND
October 2005-Present: Working at the department of National defence in Metrology and Standard lab. Incharge of mechanical metrology & Electro-optics.
October 2003 –October 2005 I have been working with the Department of National Defence - The Quality Engineering Test Establishment (QETE) division. Investigating the analysis and failure case history of Canadian Forces Aircraft landing gear components; wings, fuselage cracks, etc.
May 1995 – October 2003 - Bookham Technology Inc., through the integration of their recent acquisition of Nortel Networks Optical Component Division and responsible for the technology transfer and product inventory build prior to the closure of the Ottawa plant. As Senior MOCVD Engineer of Indium Phosphide Wafer Processing Optoelectronics, I am responsible for the growth of InP-based laser materials for high-speed fiber optical systems.
My career also includes five years as a Research Officer for the National Research Council involved in work related to TFEL large panel displays. In addition, I was Assistant Research Officer in the Advanced Epitaxy/Advance Processes group at the Institute of Microstructural
Sciences (NRC). While there I worked on a contract for the Defence Research Establishment Ottawa (DREO) carrying out studies of the deep level defects in crystal growth.
