• Resolved system part numbering issue, dramatically improving customer satisfaction by uniquely identifying orderable part numbers with a more user friendly process.

• Coordinated firmware builds and qualifications for Stratus systems based on the Nehalem processor and the PCI Express architecture.

Senior Software Engineer – Software QA (2005-2009)

• Coordinated system test and release of the system software for the latest Stratus’ Fiber Channel based storage array offering.

• Collaborated on the testing and release of the next generation Stratus Red Hat based Linux offering, ftLinux 5.0.

Senior Hardware Engineer – Hardware Sustaining & PCI Communications Group (1995-2004)

• Completed the qualification and release of a third-party, Compact PCI sub-system working in conjunction with Stratus Ireland.

• Collaborated with outside compliance test houses, the testing, qualifying, and release of Stratus’ SS7 product, a Central Office compliant system, Polo 8600 was completed on time with the appropriate certifications completed.

• Partnered with software development teams, purchasing, manufacturing, as well as the compliance group in the qualification and release of a dual port copper and fiber Ethernet standard PCI adapter.

• Partnered with third-party vendor, Radisys, to redesign a quad port T1/E1 PCI adapter to work properly in a Stratus system.

• Tested and qualified the next generation Stratus disk drive, the 146GB and 300GB Cheetah6 with the aid of the third-party vendor, Seagate.

• Evaluated 1st and 2nd generation ATM, Asynchronous Transfer Mode technology working with the third party vendors, Fore Systems and Radstone Technology.

• Worked remotely with the Stratus software group located in San Jose, California to select an Async PCI adapter vendor and board.

• Resolved customer requirements for form, fit, and function by qualifying a PCI Token Ring adapter from Racore Technology, Inc.

• Mentored junior engineer in redesign of existing proprietary Token Ring product due to end of life components.

• Led evaluation effort for identifying and qualifying an FDDI to Ethernet switch offering from Plaintree Systems.

• Coordinated the redesign, respin, and release of a proprietary FDDI product. Worked with Motive in order to perform the board timing analysis.
