• Outreach in the community and get input in the organization. Work with Trident United Way meeting Coalition Advocacy

• Provide assistance to consumers in their jobs or anything else they need to improve their lives for the better.

• Independent living skills.

• Provide peer support control and mentor consumer’s family and friends.

• Information referral.

• Advise consumers what is available for them in the community.

• Intakes for consumer death and help in transporting the body to Mexico or other countries.

• Work with hospitals regarding medical bills for consumers.

• Director of Angel Food Program as well as church food pantry. Partnered with Angel Food and World Harvest to stock pantry and distribute food to those in need (including delivery).

• Assisted church members with translation in a variety of circumstances, including accompanying them to community locations as needed.

• Referred members to appropriate community organizations and government offices for issues such as legal problems, immigration issues, driver’s license problems.

• Stayed involved in community happenings and informed members of local events and opportunities that may assist them, offered educational opportunities to learn or to socialize with others in the Hispanic community.
