PROJECT: FINGER PRINT BASED ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM

Description:

Biometrics systems are used for uniquely recognizing humans, based upon one or more intrinsic physical or behavioral characteristics. This system is implemented using DSP or FINGER PRINT SENSOR. This finger print sensor senses the finger print of a person and stores the corresponding values in the 32 bit processor. The value corresponding to the bit is then transferred from 32 bit processor to the DSP through the serial port. The DSP is programmed to decide whether the finger print corresponds to the owner or unauthorized system. If it matches with the owner’s finger print record, this system allows the user to access the appliances. Otherwise this system doesn’t allow the user to access the appliances. This system is extensively used for security purposes.
