Provided mechanical design and drafting support for hardware, fixtures, equipment and machinery used for optics manufacturing. Conducted Peer and Design Reviews providing technical data and explanation of designs. Interfaced with process engineers, metrology engineers, shop personnel and project managers for design/budget requirements and program reviews. My designs had to meet requirements of ergonomics and handling, as well as time and cost constraints. Coordinated fabrication and assembly of hardware, including required request for quote and procurement requests. Worked often with outside fabrication shops through correspondence and site visits. I have experience with materials and designs compatible with high vacuum environments, and have also designed fixtures to be used during CMM and interferometry test sets.
