Seeking a senior level opportunity with a small, medium or large scale enterprise IT operations department, as a UNIX systems administrator, engineer and architect. I would like to transfer my 22 years of UNIX experience combined with 10+ years of mission critical data center operations background, into a new challenging environment. I would very much like to apply my experience in a supervisory role, mentoring the inexperienced. I'm open to relocation within or outside the United States, for the right opportunity.

Sr. UNIX Systems Administrator

Acted as primary UNIX (HP-UX) systems administrator role for the enterprise-wide SAP implementation. Built environments for 5 different landscapes, working hand in hand with SAP Basis Administrators and DBA team.

Acted as primary UNIX (AIX) systems administrator role for implementation of a direct sales application, consisting a large Oracle database and multiple, weblogic servers. Later, worked on implementing a global load balancing environment, building a second mirror environment in a secondary data center and integrating the two environments.

Team member during a year long, interstate, data center relocation project. Coordinated movement of hardware and network infrastructure, to minimize application down time.

Team member during integration of two different UNIX systems administration teams into a single entity, writing, updating and proofing documents and procedures.

Team member, implementing HP OpenView enterprise monitoring platform.
