Project Manager on a turnaround at Koch Nitrogen (www.kochfertilizer.com) NH3 and UAN plant in Ft. Dodge, IA. Responsibilities include: Setting up planning and scheduling procedures and guidelines, controlling worklists, and management of planners. MS Access Database Administrator over an enterprise DB designed for building, tracking, and planning TA work packages. We utilize P6.x for scheduling and reporting during execution.

L-CON ENGINEERS & CONSTRUCTORS, INC 8-09 to 11-09

Project Controls/Turnaround Coordinator working a turnaround at Koch Nitrogen (www.kochfertilizer.com) NH3 and UAN plant in Dodge City, KS. Primary responsibilities include: planning and scheduling turnaround work and directing contractors during execution. We utilize a MS Access database for planning and work packages and Primavera 6.x for all scheduling and reporting.

Scheduler / Lead I&E Planner on 330MM Coker turnaround consisting of capitol, project, and turnaround work at Chevron Oil Refinery (www.chevron.com/products/sitelets/elsegundo ) in El Segundo, CA. Dealing directly with client, contractors performing work, scheduling, and tracking all I&E activities. Responsibilities included: assignment of duties to planners, revising and updating corrected work lists, package review with client and contractors, and tying activity start dates according to OPS shutdown schedule. Other duties include: using prioritized leveling, entering, tracking, and coding all I&E activities and making logic ties to mechanical packages to ensure correct workflow. Also, ensuring all work order numbers are correctly captured and assigned to their respective work packages. Dealing directly with client and contractor to ensure correct work scope, durations, and resources are captured in schedule. We used prioritized leveling on this project

KAP PROJECT SERVICES, LTD 9-06 to 7-07

I&E Planner/ Scheduler on a 177MM LSFO turnaround at Chevron Oil Refinery (www.chevron.com/products/sitelets/elsegundo/) in El Segundo, CA. Duties included: estimating, planning, and (CPM) scheduling instrument, electrical, and mechanical work (fixed and rotating equipment and piping packages) ; creating planning/ estimating templates using prior field knowledge of maintenance and construction activities, and plant procedures. Preparing contractor schedules for IMS. Walking down packages in the field estimating manpower and materials to needed to complete. Daily tracking and schedule updating using EVMS during execution phase to reflect progress and percentage of activities completed.

AIR PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS, INC 12-03 to 09-06

Instrument Mechanic/ Planner/ Scheduler worked directly for Air Products (www.airproducts.com/index.asp) at the St. Gabriel chemicals manufacturing facility in the maintenance and shutdown departments. Duties included: SAP maintenance use, Scheduling using Primavera 3.1, acting as TE during turnarounds, maintenance and shut down job planning, handling call-outs, specifying and buying new equipment, developing and writing procedures, tuning loops, QMS and ISO 9000 documentation management, and working with engineering on projects.

GROOMS CONSULTANTS, INC 1-03 to 11-03

I&C Specialist/ Lead Technician at Talbot County Energy Facility (www.opc.com/index.htm) for phase II commissioning of two additional dual fuel units (Siemens V84.2) configured to run off of natural gas or fuel oil. Responsible for calibration of all turnover packages, cal sheets, and as-builts. Equipment worked with included: TXP, Auma actuators, Argus ball valves, Rosemount transmitters, and various other instrumentation. Supervision and assignment of duties to one technician and one electrician.

TMP- SPEC GROUP 9-02 to 12-02

I&C Technician at the Pine Bluff Chemical Demilitarization Facility. Responsibilities included: calibration and testing of all Chemical Decontaminant System instrumentation and controls. Performing dry runs and testing of all equipment to prepare for government acceptance. Revising electrical drawings, as-builts, and working with PLC 3.

TMP – SPEC GROUP 1-02 to 6-02

I&C Specialist/Lead Technician at the Talbot County Energy facility (www.opc.com/index.htm) located in Box Springs, GA. Subcontracted to Inco Services and SWPC. The plant utilizes four Siemens V84.2 gas turbines with a Teleperm DCS. Duties included: supervision and assignment of duties to two techs, two electricians, and two helpers, calibration of all plant instrumentation and documentation, turnover packages, commissioning, and start up support. Equipment worked with included: Auma actuators, Siemens and Rosemount transmitters, Flo-Boss, Vibrometer, and Bently Nevada as well as other instrumentation.

QUALITY SYSTEMS 9-01 to 12-01

Field Service Engineer at a metrology lab servicing the pharmaceutical and aerospace industries. Duties included: writing procedures, calibration and pm’s on G.L.A.T.T. systems, air handling systems, and Kathabar ac/steam generation systems, as well as consulting and specifying new equipment. Calibration of all physical/dimensional (micrometers, dial indicators, gage blocks, etc.), multimeters, Sig gen’s, RF, oscilliscopes, electronic, process instrumentation and discrete controllers. I&C Commissioning Engineer on the start-up team at the Hays /ANP Power Generation Facility (www.anpower.com) located in San Marcos, TX. The plant is a combined cycle facility utilizing four ABB Gas turbines, two HRSG’s, two steam turbines, and the ABB Advant DCS. Duties included: commissioning of systems, check out of systems, buying loops, and supervision of contract support. I also worked with speed transmitters, vibration transmitters, and other turbine instrumentation. Majority of work was commissioning and start-up, handling turnover packages, and ABB Advant DCS hardware troubleshooting.
