Experienced Vice President and Project Manager looking to use my current knowledge and background and offer my services to an electrical contractor.

Independent Consultant/Estimator

May 2009 to Present

• I provide several services for many electrical contractors as an Independent Consultant and Estimator. I have estimated projects for the Department of Defense, design build projects, and consulted on LEED certified designs.

Vice President/PM/ Estimator/GF

Becker Electrical Group, Kenosha, WI

November 2000 to May 2009

• Project Managed, estimated, approved contracts and accounts payable. During this time frame I was the Vice President, Elected to the Board of Governors for the Lake County Contractors Association, Trustee of the company ESOP account, on the Board of Directors for Becker Electrical, and have participated with NECA in the contract negotiations with IBEW #127.

• I was hired to run the Lake County portion of the company’s accounts, which included many Great Lakes Navy Base projects, The Sedgebrook Community projects, Midwest Regional Medical Center projects, along with several other projects including the design build field. (Please see attachments for the contract amounts of individual projects)

• My responsibilities included cultivating new customer relationships and also maintain existing client relationships.

• I reviewed and approved estimates of 5 different project managers.

• Safety has been a major part of my position, and since I have been involved with the Lake County portion of work our company MOD rate has dropped from over 1 to .85, and have received Safety Awards from the Lake County Contractors Association.

• My responsibilities included the running of manpower for the majority of the high profile projects for Becker Electrical in Lake, McHenry, and Cook Counties. These projects include Cross Roads Church, The Chapel, Highland Park Country Club, Waste Management Recycling Conveyor System, along with many other projects. Due to the man hours that were saved I was rewarded extra bonuses per man hour.

Foreman

Ridgeview Electric, McHenry IL

May 1994 to November 2000

• I ran all of the commercial projects in Lake County. These projects include St. Paul’s Church in Gurnee, IL, St. Mary’s Church in Freemont Center, IL and several commercial projects too numerous to list. Many of these smaller projects were running at the same time so I was required to jump from site to site to ensure proper construction practices. There were times that when commercial projects were completed, I was also required to run housing communities along with personal homes.

Foreman/Journeyman

Carey Electric, McHenry IL

May 1986 to June 1994

• I started by working on a housing project as temporary help that would require a monthly pass from the IBEW #150. I worked in that status for (2) years and the IBEW granted me an Inside Wireman’s classification. I then studied through several class levels to receive my Journeyman’s Card. During this process I was generally running housing projects, and was occasionally brought into commercial projects.
