1. Retail Pricing(PPI-POS):
Working on a Retail domain project with CICS,DB2,TELON,Unix--Shell. Responsibilities include
preparing design documents , guiding the programmers for the coding and implementation. The Online
part takes the user input data and loads into the DB2tables into Mainframe. Then there are FTP JCL’s
to take data into Unix Server and we run scheduled shell scripts to load them into Unix DB2 and Terra
data tables. These are processed by the retail Point of Sales(POS) terminals.
Feb 2007 - June 2009 :

1. CDW - Claims Data Warehouse -- CSC
Duration: 2.5 Years + and ongoing
Environment: COBOL , JCL , DB2 (Mainframe and UDB-DB2), UNIX Shell script , BO , PL-SQL
Role/Responsibility: Reviewing requirements, Coding ,Testing , Documentation , BO reports verification
Overview: Claims Data Warehouse is a project in which we Maintain Claim Data information at the Claim level , Coverage Level and Aggregate Levels. This project uses Mainframe as a source of upstream data from upstream systems. Then the data from Mainframe DB2 tables are manipulated by COBOL - DB2 batch programs and then the final flat files from Each Section is FTP ‘d to the UNIX server. In the UNIX server, the UNIX - DB2 tables are updated using those FTP’ d files from Mainframe. These files were further loaded into the UDB - DB2 by the Unix Korn shell scripting. The Unix - Korn Shell scripts are further being used for generating notifications for the database updates , File Transfer to different servers etc.
The End users get to analyze the claim information and run reports by using the front end tool Business Objects (BO).
CLDB - Another parallel project(production support) -- CSC

Overview: CLDB is an application that was developed using REXX , COBOL , QMF - Procs and DB2. We as a team are in the responsibility of supporting the production jobs running under this application. In the case of any job failure we verify the REXX calls to the QMF procedure which executes the DB2-SQL query. Based on our analysis we provide solutions to the job abend. Also, whenever required we do small enhancements on this. Online CICS screens are used for Data Capture information for the insurance Loss related data.

Overview: DR - Direct response is a project where we need to add new product code to the COBOL Batch program or Changing the logic of an existing product code based on the requirement sheet we receive. Then doing the coding and testing on the program with test files.I make the turn over as part of the configuration management to request the Production control Team to Load the new Program Changes to the production.
3. Chase Mainframes - Maintenance and Enhancement -- CIM
Duration: 5 months

Role/Responsibility: Writing Design documents, Coding, Debugging Errors using Xpediter, File Maintenance, Data Uploading to Mainframe and Documentation.
Overview: Chase MF is a project where we need to Maintain or Load New offers for the Client Chase which has it’s credit Card operation. We have responsibility to prepare Test Datasets which will be Loaded for the new offers into Production. We are using ROSCOE for submitting jobs and CICS region for viewing Test and Production Loads.

Overview of Database EIS: The main advantage to shift from file based concept to a Database
level design is to manage data Handling and data security more effectively.The OLTP also supports
this concept and the data integrity has become much easier. We designed this database maintenance
project to enhance our concept to a higher and sophisticated procedure of data handling. We have
used DB2 of IBM as our database object and have designed an effective Employee information system.
