Dear Sir/Madam,
I am an Electrical Engineer with six years experience in designing, supervising and installing electrical systems for buildings, and three years in oil and gas services.
I have a BS in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University, Canada, and a MS in Mechatronics Engineering from American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. I also completed training courses in Project Management and Project Planning and Scheduling.
The Mechatronics Engineering program focused on analog and digital control theories and their industrial applications. The program consolidated multiple disciplines of Engineering, such as mechanical, electrical and computer, so as to provide a thorough understanding on the design and application of control systems in products and processes.
Throughout my career in Engineering, I had the privilege of working on prestigious projects, and with reputable, ISO certified companies, most notably Jacobs, a world-renowned American Engineering company.
My exposure to a variety of work environments allowed me to broaden my skills and gain valuable qualities such as problem solving, analytical thinking, attention to detail, flexibility, meeting standards, and continual learning.
As a new resident of the US, I intend to attain the P.E. license in Electrical Engineering, and will be preparing to take the FE exam.
I believe my professional, academic and personal qualifications make me a good candidate for this position, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best Regards,
Wissam Hassouneh
