Opened and closed this Greek themed facility that was close to Ohio State University. Promoted the business, sold, arranged and supervised private parties and catering events. Scheduled and supervised a staff of 25 servers.
Managed all purchasing of food and supplies, controlled inventory, and balanced daily business transactions.
Eliminated Pepsi as primary vendor, negotiated and setup Coca Cola as the new beverage vendor to include all new lounge and fountain equipment as part of the new contract. Added additional TV’s to this old speak easy facility.
Installed a completely new point of sale system that was instrumental in minimizing shrinkage and eliminating theft.
Moved to Columbus to assist my sister during a high risk pregnancy and to help care for my 7 year old nephew and newborn niece.
CABBAGE KEY ISLAND RESORT; Pineland, FL, 2005-2007
Customer Service Specialist
Guest service team member for this very exclusive, privately owned resort located in the Gulf of Mexico off the southwestern coast of Pine Island Sound, Florida and accessible only by marine services. All team members were required to live on the island full time throughout their employment.
Provided exceptional service to guests of four cruise lines, and served between 400-600 customers daily during cruise line visits for the peak season between November and April. Jimmy Buffet was a close friend and guest of the owners.
Delivered white glove service to 100+ fine dining guests for the evening meal daily.
The resort consisted of a historic restaurant, inn and cottages, and was surrounded by acres of tropical vegetation.
Participated in protecting our guests and facilities during the close passing of Hurricane Wilma.
During the last eight months, assisted the General Manager with setups, closeouts, and balancing daily receipts.
