Objective To apply my extensive experience in sales, installation and
specifying of ceramic tile and stone coverings to a new career representing a quality manufacturer or distributor in the mid-west USA, possibly parts of Ontario Canada or willing to relocate to the Northern Virginia - Washington DC area.
To promote the benefits of our products by emphasizing product quality and innovation, customer service and overall value. To recommend the appropriate products for the particular project thereby insuring successful long lasting installations. To provide excellent service by working closely with our business partners, learning their needs, maximizing profits for both. To work with distributors, designers, architects, builders and installers, to provide information, product sales aids and specifications to better enable our partners to specify and sell more of our products. To search out new clients that may not in the past have been recognized as potential customers. To make myself available at all times to answer or find the answers to special situations that may arise.
Experience
Mar ’87 – present: Owner of a ceramic tile installation service company, Troy Michigan. Handle all phases of operations, from estimating to installation. Thousands of jobs completed with no failures, that I know of. Kept current on all phases of product use, installation methods and trends. Extensive knowledge of proper installation methods and use of proper setting materials for all types of ceramic, porcelain and natural stone products.
A life-long background in floor coverings of all types, including vct, solid vinyl, sheet goods, carpeting and wood.
1977-1986: Mr. Tile Co., Redford Michigan. Manager, retail tile chain. Managed the expansion of the company from a single location in 1977, to 4 stores by 1985. In addition to normal everyday tasks, I assumed responsibilities of product selection and ordering of truckloads of tile and setting materials. We were one of the first dealers to stock and promote the original tile backer board in the ‘70’s. We helped in the development of new installation methods and mortars for use in the installation of the “new” Italian tiles in the late ‘70’s. I helped to make Mr. Tile Co. the premier local ceramic tile retail chain in the area.

I contributed in reviewing Tile & Marble Licensing test standards as a member of the State of Michigan Examination Advisory Committee, 1988, 1994, 2004.
I am an active participant on several online DIY and professional tile advice forums recommending the proper products and methods of installing tile.
Attended Surfaces and Coverings Trade Shows. Attended InterBuild Tile and Stone Fair, Cairo Egypt.
