Engineering Projects & Work Experience

09/11-12/11 Lab Assistant, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, CSUS

Worked on restructuring the Electro mechanics power lab with the assistance and guidance of the lab supervisor, Dr. Zarghami. These responsibilities entailed performing calibrations and maintenance to create safe and reliable equipment for students to use along with educating them about equipment use. Lab equipment included AC & DC motors/generators and transformers.

1/11 – 4/11 Power Distribution and Transmission Lines: CSUS

The group project consisted of creating prototype power distribution systems. This involved everything from selecting the appropriate conductor type and size to the design of the transmission pole with little loss for a long transmission line.

8/10 – 12/10 Fault and Statistical Analysis for Scalable Power System: CSUS

The group project incorporated creating models of scalable power systems with different conductor specs (type and size). Execution of the project entailed the simulation and analysis of optimal and extreme conditions of the models which included determining the 3-phase, line-to-line, double line-to-ground, and single line-to-ground fault currents and voltages.

12/11–4/12 Campbell’s Soup Factory’s “Can Pressure System” Maintenance and Calibration

This intern project entailed the maintenance and calibration of different equipment involved in the “can pressure system” at Campbell’s soup factory. With the help of the supervising engineer, this task included accurately measuring the pressure sensors and confirming the control system was properly displaying the interpreted data.

12/03–Present Assistant Manager at Regal Cinemas

This position requires managing a sizable budget, a large staff and excelling at customer service. It is necessary to have constant contact with suppliers, handle situations that arise, perform constant maintenance on equipment, and train personnel to ensure the company is running in a profitable and reliable manner.
