Duties
• Responsible for estimating of structural and miscellaneous steel erection.
• Managed all bid documents from various internet websites and other resources, downloading and printing.

• Monitored the progress of RFI’s, Submittals, addendas, etc.

• Support the project manager in the initial erection sequencing and pricing change orders.

Detailer/Estimator for South Texas Steel (miscellaneous steel fabricator) from 1979 to 1982. Started as a detailer preparing, submitting for approval and printing shop drawings. Also bill of materials, cut and punch lists, and designing jigs for the shop. Then worked as an estimator preparing take-offs, estimates and detailed scope letters/proposals. Projects were primarily industrial, catwalks, stairs, ladders, handrails.
Estimator for Barker and Bratton Steel (structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator) from 1982 to 1989. Prepared take-offs, estimates and detailed scope letters/proposals. Projects were primarily shopping strips, warehouses, offices consisting of tilt-wall panels, steel joists, deck, pipe columns, stairs, ladders and handrails.
Estimator for Derr Steel Erection Company from 1989 to January 29, 2010. Prepared take-offs, estimates and detailed scope letters/proposals. Projects were primarily long span heavy truss work, domed football stadiums, arenas, convention centers, airline hangars, highway bridge girders, etc.
