SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

$500K annually. Trans Union had process that

up mainframe MIPS. Overhauled by rewriting 75%

of the processes to use UNIX with Abinitio

parallelism. Reduced process time to three days

for each run, saving significant labor dollars.

Increased productivity 45% in testing phase.

Automated production system for Trans Union

required manual testing for new changes,

causing delays in implementation. Designed,

coded and implemented an automation process for

the test environment, reducing turnaround and

improving efficiency of programmers and

testers.

Redesigned user interface. Promotion system

used by Trans Union had screens and panels that

required the end-user to actually type a word

to allow the system to continue. Rewrote

several screens to allow a simple pressing of a

function key to have word(s) entered. Users

loved the change, which boosted productivity.

Doubled efficiency in testing for batch runs.

Trans Union had PREDFAC, a predictive system

providing output examples before the actual

run. Elapsed time was 48 hours between setup

and processing. Designed and coded new method

to test files, cutting processing time in half.

Clients such as AMEX/Bank of America were

thrilled.

Sears was remodeling outdated distribution

warehouses and building new ones. Legacy
