U.S. Army, Fort Hood, TX, Fort Knox, KY, Jalalabad and Gardez Afghanistan
• Performed as the primary medical provider and expert medical advisor to the Battalion and Battalion Commander
• Senior Medical OIC (Officer in Charge) of the Level II medical facility in Afghanistan 2011-2012
• Battalion Physician Assistant to over 4,000 Service members and families, DOD civilians, Afghan security forces personnel and civilians.
• Performed taking detailed medical histories and exams for physical and mental fitness, to include PAP smears and MACE testing (for traumatic brain injuries).
• Executed thorough exams per organ system for differential diagnoses.
• Make diagnoses, request labs and radiographs, prescribe medications, order consults to medical specialists for further evaluations
• Perform minor outpatient procedures such as Incision and Drainage of abscesses, laceration closures, minor closed fracture reductions, and joint steroid injections; administered vaccinations.
