Business Unit Manager – Maintenance
Leading the Maintenance Department with as many as 7 Technical Supervisors and over 80 union skilled trades employees across a three shift operation. Provided total maintenance support on all facility equipment, power house boiler, compressor, crane and process / production equipment. This included establishing, designing, implementing, and training, the scheduled maintenance program, throughout the work force. Implemented and guided the predictive maintenance program on production and facility equipment. Maintained the inventory for the spare / service parts needed for the repairing of the equipment in the facility.
Business Unit Manager – Tool & Die
Leading the Technical Support Department with as many as 6 Technical Supervisors and over 150 skilled trades employees across a three shift operation. Provided all die-based tool room support including tool and fixture design & build operations, machining operations, die cutting and die welding operations and managing the Preventive Maintenance and Tool Repair Process. Also manage the line-side technical support for the high speed progressive presses, blanking presses, small presses, laser cutting systems, automated conventional press systems, metal assembly hand gun operations, and automated metal assembly processes in a manufacturing operations.
Business Unit Manager – Lean Manufacturing Lead
Leading a joint implementation team, institutionalizing, “GMS” (Lean Manufacturing Concepts) throughout the work force. This system includes the aspects of: people involvement (WPO, BPD), standardization (Standardized Work), built-in quality (ISO 9001, QS 9000, Six Sigma), short lead-time (5S ), and continuous improvement. (SPC, Problem Solving). This process, provided the tools for the work force, to track, correct and continuously improve all processes in the facility, form top management to the team level.
